For parents in the wilderness

You can stay steady — even here.

When your child is in the grip of addiction or mental illness, fear becomes the loudest voice in the room. Steadfast is a quiet, deliberate framework for Christian parents — a way back to clear judgement, faithful boundaries, and a peace that survives the hard news.

If this is your season

You are not
failing.

You are a parent in the wilderness. Wildernesses are disorienting, but they have paths — and they are not walked alone.

  • 01You lie awake rehearsing the same conversation, hunting for a different ending.
  • 02You have paid for treatment, prayed through the night, and still feel the floor moving.
  • 03You cannot tell anymore whether you are being loving or being used.
  • 04You have stopped telling people the truth because their advice stings.
  • 05You are afraid that a boundary will be the thing that pushes them away.
  • 06Your faith feels like a room you keep walking into, unable to find the light switch.

If you read those lines and exhaled, you are in the right place. Nothing here asks you to fix your child. Everything here is about steadying the person who loves them.

Before you begin

What this is

  • A framework for the parent — your judgement, your steadiness, your peace.
  • Rooted in Scripture and in the ordinary work of loving a difficult adult child.
  • Practical: scripts, plans, and prompts you can use the same day.
  • Honest about what you cannot control.

What this isn't

  • Not therapy, diagnosis, or medical advice.
  • Not a programme to fix, rescue, or change your child.
  • Not a promise that obedience produces a happy ending.
  • Not a tribe that polices your family or your faith.

Olive trees in the same grove have stood for two thousand years.

A letter for today

To the parent who is holding this alone.

I know the specific sound of a house at three in the morning when someone you love is not in it. I know how prayer can feel like speaking into a closed door, and how quickly a parent starts believing that their child's choices are a verdict on their love.

So let me say the thing first: you are not being punished, and you are not the reason. You are a parent in a wilderness, doing the hardest work there is — loving someone who cannot yet receive it.

Steadfast was not written to give you a script that guarantees an outcome. It was written because I kept watching good parents lose their judgement, their health, and their faith to a crisis they could not control. What you can control is smaller than you hoped and far more powerful than you think.

The framework starts with you. Not because you are the problem — because you are the steady place from which everything else is decided. Clear eyes. A gentle, unshakable no. A peace that does not wait for the phone to ring with good news.

Whatever season you are in today, you are allowed to be tired. You are not allowed to be alone in it.

With you in it,

The founder of Steadfast

Honest answers

Questions
worth asking.

If yours isn't here, write it in the enrollment note. I read them all.

No. Steadfast is education and formation for the parent — not diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice. If your child is in treatment, this sits alongside it. If they aren't, this helps you know when and how to insist, and what is not yours to carry in the meantime.

Less than you want and more than you think. You cannot compel treatment, control their money, or make them tell the truth. You can decide what happens in your home, what you fund, how you speak, and how steady you are. The framework works entirely in that territory.

That is exactly who it was written for. The framework assumes you are the only person in the room willing to change, and it starts there — with your judgement, your boundaries, and your peace.

It is honestly both-rooted and neither shallow. Scripture is the ground — lament, wisdom, steadfast love — and the practices are concrete enough to use on a Tuesday night. No denomination, no politics, no shame.

Yes. The pattern is the same: crisis, uncertainty, a parent who cannot tell whether they are helping or harming. Modules four and five speak directly to hospital stays, silence, and the long waiting.

About twenty minutes of teaching per module, one module a week for five weeks, plus short workbook prompts you can do in a waiting room. It is designed for a life that is already too full.

All five modules with written teaching and audio, the workbook, the twelve conversation scripts, the Midnight Plan template, and lifetime access to every revision. One payment, no subscription.
